Jasper is a generative art installation in a leasing building located in downtown San Francisco. The installation features a series of five different art styles that play out automatically on an array of screens. A key component of the experience is a Microsoft Kinect depth-sensing camera, which captures depth data and combines it with the generative scenes, adding a subtle sense of motion influence on the visual effects.
Generative Art

Art Pieces

The art pieces were designed to align with the development's brand identity, creating a cohesive and immersive experience for visitors. Jasper is an example of how generative art can be used to enhance the aesthetic appeal of a space and create a unique and engaging experience for visitors.

INtegration

Motion Sensing

Although not necessary, the Kinect depth-sensing camera adds an extra dimension and interactivity to the art pieces. In some cases, the effects are subtle, while in others, they are more prominent. Even with no movement present, the art pieces have lots of variability and use dynamic data sets to create a unique experience every time.
